FAQ
What is FinGather?
FinGather is a portfolio tracker that helps you keep all your investments in one place. It gives you a clearer view of performance, dividends, fees, taxes, and foreign exchange impact so you can understand how your portfolio is really doing.
Who is FinGather for?
FinGather is a good fit for long-term investors as well as more active users who want a clearer view of their portfolio than they can get from a standard broker account or a spreadsheet. It is designed for people investing in stocks, ETFs, and other assets who want to track results more easily and in greater detail.
Why use FinGather instead of Excel or broker reports?
Excel is flexible, but it is time-consuming and easy to break. Broker reports often provide only a limited view of your portfolio. FinGather combines clarity, automation, and advanced analytics so you can see real performance, dividends, benchmarks, and portfolio allocation in one place.
How does FinGather help me track my portfolio better?
FinGather shows more than just your current portfolio value. It helps you follow performance over time, gains and losses, dividends, fees, taxes, and currency impact. This gives you a clearer view of what is working, where your biggest exposure is, and how your portfolio compares with the market.
How do I get started with FinGather?
Create an account, add your first portfolio, and import your investments. From there, you can start tracking performance, portfolio insights, and reports right away. If you want to compare what each plan includes before signing up, you can do that in our pricing overview.
How can I import my portfolio into FinGather?
You can import your portfolio using historical investment data. FinGather supports CSV and Excel imports, and the Pro plan also includes API imports. If you want to check the available methods for a specific broker or platform, you can find them in the current integrations list.
Does FinGather support CSV or Excel imports?
Yes. FinGather supports both CSV and Excel imports, depending on the platform. You can see which format is available for each provider in the current integrations list.
Does FinGather support API imports?
Yes. API imports are available in the Pro plan for users who want a more automated way to keep their portfolio data up to date. You can find the currently supported API-connected providers in the current integrations list.
What if my broker is not supported?
You can often still import your portfolio using CSV or Excel files, even without a direct API connection. If your broker is not included in the current integrations list, you can request it through our contact form.
